The waiting is the hardest part…

Filed under: Uncategorized — stevemryan @ 7:52 pm

I get to work this weekend, so hopefully, I will find time to play the next match-up in my 1914-16 tournament.  I’ll have to double check, but I believe the match-up is a couple of 1915 teams, the Federal League’s Newark franchise and the Pirates from the National League.  Good times!

I am using a tennis spreadsheet to do my tournament.  Part of the fun was figuring out the cell format and formulas.  In tennis with a best of three format, the game goes until someone either wins six games or seven with the tie-breaker.  I had to redo the formulas for best-of-three with highest scorer.  That may have been one of the funnest parts.  Geek alert!

I completed my inventory and found these cool containers for my cards.  I grouped them by which seasons fit together best in the containers instead of a more chronological order.  There are several duplicate seasons and I may eventually trade them for seasons I want instead of putting them on eBay to the highest bidder.  We shall see.

There's a fine line between visionary and wrong. Unfortunately, it takes a visionary to see it.
