Blues win a close game…

Filed under: Uncategorized — stevemryan @ 3:48 pm

The Buffalo squad won 2-1 in another close game with the Senators.  The starters, Doc Ayers (BXZ) and Hugh Bedient (BYZ) were basically rated the same.  Ayers had the better strikeout rating but only struck out four compared to Bedient’s seven.  Bedient had seven Ks through four innings then let his infield do the work behind him.  Both teams had plenty of hits as the Senators had nine while the Blues had 11.  Lots of chances, but only three total runs.  Fun game.

This brings us to the rubber game in the series.  I don’t recall having many of these lately.

I have enjoyed listening to the first half of the Rays radio broadcast.  It was an easy listen.  With the Rays up 1-0, I switched to the Braves game and was pleasantly surprised to find Mark Lemke working with Jim Powell.  I hope the Braves win if only to hear the Cardinals lose.  Win or Lose, life is good!

There's a fine line between visionary and wrong. Unfortunately, it takes a visionary to see it.
