Been a while…

Filed under: Uncategorized — stevemryan @ 5:17 pm

I still play APBA when I get a chance.  Recently, I played an APBA Football Game with my 1958 NFL Cards, Detroit v San Francisco, won by the Lions.

There are  a lot of really good APBA blog sites.  Some are more active than others.  I tend to participate more in the Delphi Forums at the APBA – Between The Lines group.  I check into the APBA Facebook pages as well and there is some great information there.

The latest thing seems to be hosting APBA Tournaments.  This is especially popular in the Midwest with recurring gatherings in Chicago, Minnesota plus places like Toledo and Pittsburgh.  I can’t keep track of them all but I wish I was closer or could work it out with my work schedule.  That would be a lot of fun.

In August, I took a trip for work to Saratoga Springs, NY.  I had training during the day and APBA at night.  It was just two of us, Randy Coryer and me but after seven close matchups I prevailed four to three.  After the APBA Convention, this was the highlight of my year for events that didn’t involve my wife.

I will try to blog a bit more frequently, but not making any promises.

There's a fine line between visionary and wrong. Unfortunately, it takes a visionary to see it.
